Seedballs are made from a mixture of UK native wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The clay protects the seeds from wildlife, and once water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside will germinate, helped along by nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder deters slugs and snails.
Seedball Tins - Each tin contains 20 seed balls, enough to cover 1 metre square in a garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball).
ARTISTS MEADOW - Each ball contains approximately 30 seeds per ball from a mix of Common Poppy, Oxeye Daisy, Musk Mallow, Corn Marigold, Purple Field Scabious, Red Campion and White Cow Parsley. Best scattered in Spring or Autumn.
BEE MIX - Each ball contains approximately 30 bumblebee-friendly wildflower seeds. These make for lovely gardening gifts, bee gifts, eco friendly gifts or birthday gifts. They will work well in window boxes, balcony pots, garden beds and wildlife gardens.
Butterfly Mix Bag - Each bag contains 100 balls for a coverage for 5 square metres, ideal for creating larger wildflower patches. Best scattered in Spring or Autumn. A mix of purple, pink and blue flowers designed to attract butterflies using only flowers recommended by Butterfly Conservation. Includes Purple Loosestrife, Forget-me-not, Musk mallow, Red campion and Yarrow, plus a sprinkling of pollinator-friendly annuals Chamomile, Cornflower, Corn marigold, and Night-flowering catchfly.
