Description

These Flower brooches were originally inspired by the Hebridean wildflowers known as Machair.  Machair refers to a fertile low-lying grassy plain found on part of the northwest coastlines of Ireland and Scotland, in particular the Outer Hebrides. The best examples are to be found on North and South Uist, Harris and Lewis where up to 40 species of plant can be found in one square metre.

Flower brooches measures approx 10cm. Backed with a 4.5cm swivel clasp pin.
